Bring Out Hand Beauty – Skin Care Tips for Hands

Many women pay close attention to the small lines, creases, wrinkles, and spots that show up on our faces but tend to ignore the signs of aging that are creating road maps on the backs of our hands. It does little good to spend a small fortune on products designed to hide your age in your face if you are going to announce your age loud and clear the moment you reach out to shake hands with someone new. Hands are also important when it comes to beauty. Skin care for hands can restore their youth and beauty and help you give away nothing about your true age.

Just as you can turn back the clock on age when it comes to your face, you can turn back time on your hands as well. Most of us aren’t really interested in turning back time quite the way that Cher managed to do it, but, looking younger, when done properly is a great thing whether it is your hands, your face, or every inch of skin you call your own. The last though is preferable.

Anti Aging Tips for Hands

Moisturize. This needs to be shouted from the roof tops. Moisture makes and breaks great hands. Hands that do not have enough will look old before their time. Keep them hydrated and be careful to limit their exposure to products that will rob them of moisture. Shea butter, coconut oil, and products that contain glycerin are excellent choices for helping hands retain that essential moisture. If you have products that work wonders for your face when it comes to moisture, try that out on your hands as well. Most of the time though you will find that a thicker product works better for the hands. One cheap solution that lends very positive results for softening and repairing hands is Vaseline Petroleum Jelly. It doesn’t feel very good on the hands but it works true miracles that are well worth a little bit of discomfort along the way. It is much less painful than plucking eye brows at the very least.

Block. The sun causes untold amounts of damage to the skin and the hands are often, unconsciously, left unprotected while we go to great lengths to ensure that other areas of our bodies are well protected from the suns harmful rays. Using a high value SPF sun block on your hands year round is a great way to avoid potential damage from the sun. Also using gloves to protect them from the sun’s rays in winter will provide additional protection. The key is to expose your hands to the sun as rarely as possible in order to enjoy the greatest results.

Erase. Once the damage is done there is one thing left to do. Erase it. There are plenty of bleaching products that will remove those age spots. Some are only available by prescriptions and others require some type of surgical or professional application in order to remove them.

In the end, hand beauty, skin care, and anti aging endeavors are worth every ounce of effort if you are truly interested in turning back the hands of time.
